Scott Boren is the founder, CEO, and President of IronPoint Insurance Services, LLC. IronPoint Insurance Services is an innovator, having developed sister sites ComparisonQuote.com and MexicoCovered.com. It’s also the creator of the IronPoint Agent programs.

In total, IronPoint has helped over 22,000 policyholders and assisted over 100 independent insurance agencies in successfully growing their businesses. IronPoint is committed to creating an ethical and private consumer experience.

Scott Boren’s story began after graduation from California State University Long Beach. He worked for a small, regional insurance company in Product Management where he managed a non-standard auto insurance product. He would later go on to a leadership position with Esurance, an innovator in the direct-to-consumer auto insurance space. The Esurance experience led to larger roles with GEICO, and finally with Farmers Insurance Group. In 2010, Scott Boren launched IronPoint Insurance Services, LLC.

During his corporate career, Scott traveled the country talking with insurance agents and learning how insurance products meet the demands of families and small businesses. He started IronPoint Insurance Services, LLC so that he could directly meet those needs through choice and technology.

Derick has dedicated more than three decades of his life to the insurance industry, initially starting as a life agent and later pivoting to focus on property and casualty. Over the years, he has worked with several agencies across California and Utah, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of the industry.

In 2002, Derick joined forces with SIAA and co-founded Agents United, recognizing a need to support independent agents and entrepreneurs who were starting their own agencies. As an experienced industry veteran, Derick brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the organization, helping agents navigate the insurance landscape and overcome common obstacles.

Outside of work, Derick is a devoted family man who has been married to his wife Kim for over 35 years. He is the proud father of two children and enjoys spending time with his loved ones. Derick is also an avid photographer who enjoys capturing the beauty of the world around him through his lens. Additionally, he is passionate about staying active and regularly takes to the trails on his mountain bike to get his heart racing.

Derick’s dedication to his work, his family, and his hobbies is a testament to his character and commitment to excellence. His experience and expertise have made him a respected leader in the insurance industry, and his passion for helping others sets him apart as a truly remarkable individual.

Jason Rasmussen is an owner of Agents United. He started his career as a captive agent with Farm Bureau Financial services in 2004. His claim to fame was writing the largest life insurance case in Farm Bureau history. Jason joined Agents United as an owner in 2008 and manages all recruiting efforts, finances, commissions and profit sharing/bonuses for Agents United. He has helped Agents United through his recruiting efforts to expand from $3.5 million in premium to over $160 million in just over 12 years. Jason loves to see the success of all of the agency partners and enjoys our lasting friendships.

Jason is a native of Price, Utah but has called several places home. He has lived in Bountiful, UT, South Africa, Eastvale, California, Provo, UT and now Spanish Fork, Utah. He even convinced his wife to move to California for 12 months to expand Agents United’s, capacity, westward, with an incentive of season tickets to Disneyland. He enjoys taking trips on his Indian Motorcycle with his Father-in-law and has a goal to travel cross country on his bike, as soon as time permits.

Jason is a bit of a car enthusiast and has a goal to own every luxury brand at least once. Most importantly he is married to the love of his life, Amy, and is the proud “dada” to 3 handsome young boys and 1 perfect little adopted princess.

Rolando Recinos is the Founder and CEO of S&R Insurance Group and also works as a recruiter for Agents United, where he helps recruit agencies. With his extensive knowledge and experience in the insurance industry, he is well-equipped to provide expert guidance and support to both individuals and businesses seeking insurance coverage.

Rolando Recinos is a well-experienced professional in the insurance industry, with over 22 years of work experience. Before starting his own agency, Rolando worked as the Vice President of West Coast Insurance. He then started a non-standard insurance agency in 2008 and ran it successfully until he sold it in 2017.

Rolando has taken his experience in managing and owning his own agencies to helping insurance professionals realize their dreams of successfully owning their own agency.

Rolando enjoys traveling when not working and spending time with his loved ones. Kris grew up in Albuquerque, NM but she moved to Utah in 1989 and feel in love with the community. She has been married for 29 years and has 3 daughters. She loves craft and art projects. Kris also loves a good book, relaxing with her family or just being with friends.
