Overview
Your IronPoint membership provides you access to most lines of business insurance. Since we are not a General Agency, we are not good for most specialty lines or hard-to-place risks. However, our partner insurance carriers are some of the best commercial underwriters, and offer a broad range of competitive and commercial product, perfect for most office, retail, wholesale, food service and automotive repair businesses.

Quoting & Using Insureon
IronPoint members all get access to our Insureon comparison rating platform. This allows our members to input rating and underwiting information for all carriers online, and get a comparison quote.
Of course, if you have carrier credentials, you can always quote directly on the carrier’s systems.

Not all of our carriers are on Insureon. However, new carriers will be added throughout the next 12-months.
The current carriers on the platform are:
- Travelers BOP, GL, Work Comp and Package
- Hartford BOP, GL, Work Comp and Package
- Liberty Mutual BOP, GL, Work Comp, Package
- AmTrust Work Comp Only.
- GUARD BOP, Work Comp (within 60-days)

Staring a Quote
Getting a quote in Insureon is easy. Start from the home page by typing in the classification of your risk. The smart class system will attempt to find the class you are looking to quote. Once selected, simply press “Start Application”.

There will be some general information, and the next major step is to select the coverage you want to quote:
The Quote Summary
After you complete the balance of the rating and underwriting questions, you will be able to rate the quote. Once rated (it can sometimes take a few minutes for all quotes to return), you will be provided all returned quotes. Each will have the ability to expand the selection to review underwriting adjustments, get links to the carrier, or see why the risk was declined.
- Creating Acord Forms from Insureon
If after you’ve completed your quote, the carriers within Insureon aren’t providing you with a competitive quote, you can generate Acord forms from Insureon to submit to underwriting for assistance shopping with other carriers. Simply select “Generate Forms” from the top of the page and select the appropriate Acord forms. Once downloaded, submit them to underwriting using the “New Quote Service” form.
- Marketing Your Insured in Insureon
If you want to market a client, you can send them a link to complete the Insureon application form online. From the dashboard, click the “Generate Unique Link” button to create your unique link.
Once the link is created, you can copy that link to embed into an email and send to the insured.
Carrier Manuals
Your IronPoint membership allows you to quote and issue mid-market and small business insurance products. This provides you a powerful tool to compete on a wide range of business risk, and provide your commercial lines clients protection business insurance leaders.

- Travelers
Travelers offers you a general manual for most lines of business written in their small and mid-sized program (“Select Accounts”). Below is the general rules manual and the segment manuals when they have modified rules:

GUARD is our #1 small business provider. They have competitively priced products and an easy to quote platform. Below are the general rules for their BOP, WC and auto products:
Business Owner’s (BOP) Workers Comp Commercial Auto - Nationwide
Nationwide provides most of their resources online. However, below is the BOP manual. Nationwide has a surprisingly broad appetite (also online), and can be a useful tool to closing small commercial deals.

All of Hartford appetite and manuals are online.
- AmTrust
AmTrust has an online appetite tool and the eligibility and rules are built into the quote flow. Therefore, rules and appetite are all online.

Professional liability is the newest option we are rolling out to all our members! Currently we have options available through GUARD and Travelers, but will be opening new markets to your as soon as we can.

How do I get a quote?
For Quoting with GUARD, the application, appetite and rules are all online. If you already have your user credentials, go online and start your quote.
When quoting Travelers, you will need to complete an application, then use the “New Quote Service” form to refer to your underwriter. Your underwriter will submit on your behalf to Travelers and help you through the process.

Policy Service:
Use this form if you need help with an existing policy. By submitting this form you will be creating a tracking ticket policy change request. After submitting the form you will get an email with your tracking number, and that can be used with anyone to check status, review history, and provide assistance.
New Quote Assistance:
If you have already completed a quote in the carrier system, PL Rating (Personal Lines) or Insureon (Commercial Lines) and want to receive quoting assistance or a bindable proposal, then complete this form. After submitting the form a tracking ticket will be created and sent to you via email. Your tracking ticket can be used with anyone to track the history of your request, or provide furhter assitance.
Help Desk Tickets:
This form should be used if you need assistance with carrier credentials, access to carriers or specific lines of business or need help with software. After submitting the form a tracking ticket will be created and sent to you via email. Your tracking ticket can be used with anyone to track the history of your request, or provide furhter assitance.
Pro Tip
Once a ticket is created you need to respond to the email where the ticket originated, or to any new subsequent email threads created by IronPoint team members provdiing service on your request. If you send emails outside the tracking system (eg. directly to an underwriter) then the tracking and history may be disrupted.
